Breitling and its Excellence
Formed in 1884 by Leon Breitling, Breitling is a Swiss company of automatic watches. The quality of their product, as well as the design of their various timepieces, reveals the stylish presence of the person using it. Breitling began making chronometers for airplanes and chronographs for pilots which led to the Swiss company as a pioneer in aviation’s world.
The main features that Breitling considered are elegance, quality skillfulness, deluxe and its undeniable power. Over the years of the Swiss company’s wristwatch production and the awareness in the watch industry, Breitling has established themselves in the field of luxurious automatic movement designer timepieces.
The Breitling luxury watches are meticulously designed as a form of assurance of high utility and high-quality. Also, tough fabrics are one of the main components in the construction of these timepieces which made them substantially unshakable and will get up to the active way of living of the most adventurous individual.
What makes Breitling watch a valued timepiece for any user is its simple yet well-built design. Considering its exceptional visual appeal, the act of gifting a Breitling watch will help you explain your feelings to the one you are giving it. A Breitling timepiece will surely play a significant value to any person when given as a gift item.
An excellent and particular feature of a Breitling luxury watch is its water resistant component. These timepieces are resident to future incidents caused by heat changes, and also repellent to destroying or cracking from the wearer’s use. You won’t need to worry about degeneration with one of these watches since Breitling made their timepieces to have a wearer peace of mind and an assurance to the cost and satisfaction equivalency with their products. As cliche as it sounds, the all time used of “you get what you pay for” applies to a Breitling timepiece.
As mentioned, the Swiss company first produced their watches for aviation pilots, which will support them when flying and which is why Breitling’s motto is “instruments for professionals.”
Another thing you must know is, most people today who wear a Breitling watch are not pilots of any kind except reasonable pilots of extravagance and status symbols which of course, is not a bad thing. Also, the Swiss company received a mass press from numerous celebrities that wear Breitling watches as well. Thereby “inducing” this luxurious brand of a timepiece in the “Watches Hall of Fame.”
The Swiss company, Breitling, originally makes men’s watches, so it is primarily the men who wear them. Celebrities like David Beckham and John Travolta, who is also a certified pilot are all fans and have given many of Breitling’s collections a real deal.
Here are some examples of the “Best of Breitling” from their most favorite collections.
1. The Navitimer collection
The Breitling Navitimer was born in the 1940’s when the company decided to add a circular slide rule to the bezel which will make a much better watch for pilots. Over the years, the Navitimer successfully built a trustworthy status and is now recognized as the “world’s oldest chronograph.” This chronograph watch is capable of calculating rates of descent, fuel consumption, and the conversion of regular miles into nautical miles amongst other things – all by using the above mentioned, the circular slide rule located on the side of the bezel.
The Breitling Navitimer released its sub-collections in the 1950’s and 1960’s namely the Navitimer Montbrillant and Navitmer World, respectively. The Navitimer Montbrillant got its name after the factory’s creation of this first chronograph. The design is 40’s inspired and comes with a 38mm case. Meanwhile, the Navtimer World got its name because of the case back has an engraved time zones of all the world’s greatest cities. Also, it is one of the Breitling’s largest timepieces ever made which is 10% bigger than the Navitimer.
2. The Bentley Collection
The Breitling for Bentley collection is a self-explanatory collaboration between two of the most notable names in their respective industries which are the luxury watches and luxury automobiles, respectively. The subcategories of this main collection include Bentley, Bentley GMT, and Flying B.
The Bentley GMT features a bold design that brings a refreshing look to the chronograph. It features various time zone displays, and the dial has a “totalizer rims” incited by Bentley dashboards.
On the other hand, the Bentley Flying B collection are a series of timepieces that go with rectangular-shaped cases that are meant to be a reflection of elegance or its convertible state. Its name is assigned to the “winged B” which is widely known as the “mascot” of the Bentley and mostly seen at the back of each car.
A few of the less popular Breitling collections are the Aeromarine Avenger, the Colt ones, and the Professional Skyracer. Breitling focuses more on the functionality of the watch rather than the look since all Breitlings are “Instruments for Professionals.” When you look at these collections, you’ll see the face is much smaller than the Breitling timepieces that are more popular which made these watch collections not seen much around in town.
The bottom line is that a Swiss watch company like Breitling is not only after the sales or bragging, it’s more in the global honor and the accountability that happens as being the supplier of both the Air Force and Army members. Breitling watches are mostly attractive and worn by men who are in both situations of a combat war and everyday life. There are only a few watch companies who can claim that the army heroes and the average Joes and army heroes wore them. A valuable company is one that can apply for that feat, and Breitling is it. Contrary to the cheaper, more easily replaceable pieces of jewelry, Breitling watches are the kinds of timepieces that you can keep for an extended period. You won’t be even bothered about degeneration with one of these timepieces.
